Patient trapped in a 23-year ‘coma’ was conscious all along

This is literally my worse nightmare. As a child I was always worried about being buried in a box under ground where no one could hear me, but I guess that is because I never imaged a horror like this. 23 years with no mental stimulation trapped in your brain, is simply the absolute most terrifying thing possible. I am sure I am going to have nightmares about this story for years to come. I really wonder how many other people in coma’s are trapped like this?
